About Us
Scott Murdoch (Principal; RLA, R.P. Bio.) is an accomplished landscape architect, professional biologist and environmental designer with over 20 years of environmental and urban design experience. Scott ’s experience, education on and creativity provide him with the skills needed to analyse complex problems and generate economically, ecologically and socially responsible solutions. His cross disciplinary background and work experience enables him to work and communicate well with professionals in other disciplines. He has worked on and co-ordinated numerous multi-disciplinary projects including integrated management plans, park planning and design, stormwater bylaw recommendations, natural stream restoration, rainwater and watershed management plans, and has completed numerous projects from concept to construction. Scott specializes in the integration of stormwater management into landscape design.
Paul de Greeff (Principal; RLA) provides experience in site analysis, site adaptive landscape planning, public engagement and education. Paul specializes in landscape planning and landscape suitability analysis, having completed analysis and planning for projects at widely contrasting scales. With collaboration and team-oriented work a driving philosophy behind his approach, Paul tends to excel where diversity of input and complex human interaction is inherent in process. As such, he is an effective facilitator and has experience bringing together complex feedback into a coherent plan.
Melissa Lawrence (Landscape Technologist) has been working with MDI for four years and is a critical member of our team, bringing graphic, web, CAD analysis and mapping skills to bear on our projects. Melissa’s experience working in a multidisciplinary environment allows her to communicate effectively at all levels of development. Her specialized training in Landscape Architectural Technology enables her to produce high quality landscape drawings and effectively manage portability and inter-office communication across platforms.
