TALL TREE PHYSIOTHERAY
This single storey building project utilized an organic building shape and careful positioning of the building’s footprint to fit the new clinic into an existing landscape of mature evergreen trees at Mattick’s Farm in Saanich.
The landscape design focused on minimizing the disturbance to existing trees on site, and integrating the project within a mature and established commercial centre landscape. Murdoch de Greeff Inc. assisted the project architect with pedestrian circulation considerations, landscape and exterior lighting, and review and interpretation of arborists reports.
Murdoch de Greeff Inc. worked closely with Cordova Bay Golf Course staff to salvage Japanese maples, rhododendrons, ferns, and other native plants from the existing landscape, and used the salvaged plants to inform the palette of the new landscape.
