MCKENZIE AVENUE STREETSCAPE

In 2013, the McKenzie Avenue corridor completed the second phase of upgrades, spanning from Gordon Head Road to Finnerty Road. The intent of the project was to incorporate 'complete street' design concepts, improving safety and environmental outcomes.

In consultation with municipal parks staff, civil engineers and stakeholders, Murdoch de Greeff coordinated the streetscape design and installation, including layout and planting of over 200 street trees in medians and boulevards, and the introduction of a sizable rain garden at the Gordon Head entrance to the University of Victoria.
