KITASOO / XAI'XAIS FIRST NATION
MDI was hired to explore landscape-based source control treatment options for stormwater management at Klemtu, a small waterfront community on Swindle Island, on the North Coast of BC.
MDI reviewed road designs and stormwater management practices to identify possible opportunities for source control structures, and to examine options for treating runoff before discharge into nearby Trout Bay. The project required field investigations, development of effective landscape-based solutions for stormwater management, and consideration of the practical realities of working in a remote location with limited access to typical construction materials.
