GIS/3-D Designer
Master of Landscape Architecture, University of Toronto
Bachelor of Arts, Anthropology, University of Victoria
Devin brings together landscape architecture, anthropology and advanced digital design. Before joining MDI, he worked in Indigenous land-use research, geospatial analysis, public-interest design and landscape practices in Toronto and the northeastern United States. His experience includes major parks, cultural institutions, campuses and urban public spaces. At MDI, Devin leads computational design initiatives and uses GIS, LiDAR, 3D modelling, parametric tools and visualization to reveal site conditions, test options and communicate complex ideas. He has also taught visual communication and GIS, strengthening the link between analysis, design and clear storytelling.
Devin's expertise in GIS, LiDAR, remote sensing and computational design helps MDI understand complex sites before major design decisions are made. He can turn terrain, drainage, vegetation and development data into clear models that support option testing and informed choices. This strengthens early planning, improves coordination with architects and engineers, and helps clients see how a project can fit the land rather than work against it.
