MDI collaborated with University of Victoria grounds staff to transform an existing, fouled pond at the campus library into a rain garden. Existing stormwater functions of the pond were retained as part of the landscape renovation, with added benefits of a new pleasing garden view for students and library users, and a more hospitable outdoor campus gathering space.

MDI provided a full scope of landscape architectural services including concept design, design development, detailed design, and construction management for this retrofit project.
